Brandon C. Armant is a business and communications consultant, a skilled journalist, an author, and a motivational speaker who empowers business leaders to achieve their full potential, with a strong commitment to advancing people of color in business. He aids individuals and brands in their success by helping them tell their story in ways that elevate their voice and genuinely resonate with their audience.

 

For over a decade, Brandon has served as the President and CEO of BAMM | A Communications Company, boasting an extensive portfolio of creative marketing campaigns, as well as broadcast and digital media productions through its subsidiary, BAMM Network—a digital platform that elevates Black & Brown voices with content for Millennials and Generation Z.

Brandon's journalistic contributions include serving as a community News Columnist for The Times-Picayune and interviewing notable figures such as music legends Master P., Fred Hammond, and Eric Bennet; film actors Romeo Miller and Maliq Johnson; and Civil Rights Leader the Rev. Jesse Jackson. His expertise spans over a decade in public relations, media relations, marketing, communications, public speaking, event coordination, and content creation.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Brandon is serves as Policy & Strategic Advisor to Louisiana State Representative Delisha Boyd, where he provides strategic counsel on legislative initiatives, business development, and community engagement efforts.  He is also an adjunct professor in the College of Music and Media at Loyola University New Orleans, where he shares his industry expertise with the next generation of communicators, and serves on the university's Mass Communication Advisory Board.

Previously, Brandon enhanced community engagement and branding at O. Perry Walker Charter High School and then as Director of Communications at the Algiers Charter Schools Association; and prior to that, he worked in broadcast news at WVUE-TV, FOX 8 in New Orleans. He attended Loyola University New Orleans for a Bachelor of Science in Communications – Broadcast Journalism and he is a graduate of the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program where he also serves as an alumni ambassador.

Active in the community, Brandon is the founder and president of BAMM Cares Corporation, a non-profit that uplifts underprivileged youth and young adults; and he serves as a director on several non-profit boards, including the Louisiana Center for Children's Rights board, the R. C. Blakes Sr. Scholarship board, and as the secretary of the Gulf Coast Social Services board. He is a former ambassador for the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce and a member of various professional organizations, highlighting his dedication to diversity and excellence in all professional arenas.

Brandon Armant's Commitment to Youth Mentorship

From his formative years working within the New Orleans public school system to his continued engagement with young adults, Brandon Armant has long championed the transformative power of mentorship, particularly for young Black men. Understanding the profound gaps left by the absence of positive male role models, Brandon has dedicated himself to being a beacon of guidance and support for the youth. His work has not only focused on the immediate educational achievements but also on fostering a strong sense of identity and purpose among these young individuals.

needed to navigate the complexities of their environments. His mentoring efforts have been characterized by deep personal involvement and a commitment to the long-term success of each individual.

As the teens he once mentored matured into adulthood, Brandon's role evolved from that of a mentor to a steadfast advocate and advisor for young adults. He actively uses his voice, resources, and extensive network to promote youth mentorship programs, especially in inner-city neighborhoods. By doing so, Brandon underscores the vital role these initiatives play not only in individual development but also in community building and empowerment.

Today, Brandon continues to be a vocal proponent of mentorship as an essential pillar for nurturing responsible, aware, and empowered leaders of the next generation. Through public speaking, community involvement, and personal mentorship efforts, he remains dedicated to instilling values of resilience, integrity, and ambition in young minds, helping them to envision and work towards a brighter, more inclusive future.
